There are no limits to how you interpret the theme. Your artwork does not need to depict Christmas literally — we welcome works that express the spirit of the season through colour, emotion, imagination, connection, light, or a sense of hope.

We welcome painting, photography, illustration, digital art, mixed media, sculpture, and other contemporary art forms.

Please read the guidelines carefully and complete the submission form below — it’s quick and easy.

Open Call: BRIGHT CHRISTMAS

Deadline: 15 November 2026
Online Exhibition at Clover Gallery

Exhibition Dates: 1 December – 31 December 2026

BRIGHT CHRISTMAS is a celebration of art that brings light, joy and hope.

As the year comes to an end and the days grow darker, Christmas reminds us of the light we create and share with one another. Through art, that light can take many forms — a vivid colour, a joyful moment, a cherished memory, a feeling of connection, a spark of imagination, or a simple reminder that there is always room for hope.

We invite artists to interpret the spirit of Christmas in their own way and share artworks that bring something bright to the viewer.

We welcome artworks that:

✤ bring a sense of light, joy, or hope

✤ explore the warmth, wonder, connection, or positive spirit of the season

✤ use colour, emotion, imagination, or symbolism to create a sense of brightness

✤ offer viewers a moment of joy, inspiration, comfort, or wonder

Your artwork does not need to depict Christmas literally. We are interested in the feeling behind the season and the many different ways artists can express it.

All visual styles and media are welcome.

What does Christmas look like when seen through the eyes of an artist?
